Hello All!
This is the very first post and I'm so excited! I thought that by keeping a blog it would allow our family and friends to keep up with us during our first year of marriage and beyond :) Andrew and I are newlyweds and have been married 3 months (as of yesterday!) and are loving every minute of it!
This is one of the millions of amazing pictures we have from our wedding day!
I thought I'd start the blog off by updating everyone on what we've been up to these last 3 months. After the wedding, we spent a WONDERFUL honeymoon in San Francisco, which was so much fun! Although we got married in January and it was cold out there, we still did all the site seeing, chowder eating, and walking we could and made lots of fun memories. After our honeymoon we settled back home in the Bryan College Station area of Texas. Since then school started up and we both continue to work like crazy. Although I'm a senior by hours, I still have another year left (due to changing majors last year!) and Andrew is also taking classes (his all online since he works full time).
Us at the Ghiradelli factory in San Fran!
Our newest married moments have been our first Valentines Day together, which was so very special! Andrew woke me very early that morning to give me tons of candy, my favorite latte, roses, and donuts! It made for a very "sweet" day! :) Also, my birthday was just a few weeks ago and I was suprised with flowers at work (from the hubby) as well as a cake and presents from my girls at work. Later on, we shared a wonderful dinner with friends and had more cake and presents! I felt so blessed and loved on! It was truly a great 1st married birthday!
O and I can't forget our newest addition to our family, MACY!!! She is a Siamese Lynx mix kitty and the cutest thing ever! We adopted her from a local shelter here and fell in love with her! I knew it was meant to be because I'm not a cat person and I am literally obsessed with my baby :)
Here's Macy when she first discovered my homework! She's obsessed with paper by the way! I might just go buy her her own notebook :)
Yesterday, on our 3 month anniversary, we celebrated Andrew's brother's wedding, which was really special! It was neat to be at a wedding and be the married people! It was great to see lots of family and get to ring in another celebration, although today we were both wiped out (and Andy worked all day ).
Well, that's the briefest update I can give! A lot has gone on since we've been married. We both agree that we love married life and feel so blessed. Our wedding was such a blessing and we have truly felt blessed ever since, by family, friends, and God. We actually just finished up an 8 week marriage course at our church, which we felt was so great to do especially as newlyweds. It definitely enriched our marriage even more and challenged us to always keeping working on our marriage.
In terms of near future events, I get my AGGIE RING next week and am beyond thrilled!!! If you are an Aggie you know how big of a deal this is :) My mom is flying in and everything! I am also so excited to get to have her as house guest! I think it will be such a treat! We're looking forward to cooking together and sitting a drinking coffee and just getting sweet time to visit. For those of you who don't know, my parents and brother live in the northeast, so anytime I ever get to see them it's a huge deal! The rest of my family and almost all of Andrew's live in the Houston area, so at least we are closer in distance to them. For now, we love where we live and the way are life is right now. Yes we're in school and work, but it's been a really neat experience for us. Our days are busy, but there's nothing like not having to say goodnight and drive home anymore. I love waking up next to him and we are excited for the plans God has for us in the future!
Ok, I'll wrap this up! I promise these entries won't always be so long! We hope y'all enjoy following us and what is going on in our day to day life together. I'm excited to have this blog as a keep sake for us, so we can look back on it down the road and remember this special time we had in our first year of marriage! I hope to blog often and I'll do my best to keep y'all updated!
Until next time,
Mrs. Hahn :)
