It's Okay

Wow, my 2nd post for the day! I'm on a roll! I'm so happy it's Thursday! This week really has flown by and I couldn't be more grateful! Here's what I'm Okay with today!

It's OK...

-to be completely obsessed with everything pumpkin: candles, hand sanitizer, food (donuts, muffins, bread), wallflowers!

-that I didn't make it to the gym yesterday but instead did P90X cardio and rode my bike for 2 hours3

-that I send my hubby text messages during the day reminding him to drink his water! Part of eating healthy means staying hydrated!

-that every time I'm at Target I play with all the SLR cameras. I want one sooooo bad!! I keep ebaying and craigslisting...but nothing yet!

-to leave myself about 10 minutes to get ready for work each day (yeah not a great habit, but with curly hair I think you can kind of pull off a hot mess kind of look...I think.)

-to truly NEED to go home for a visit! It was so renewing! I'm never leaving my beloved New England for that long again!

-to be obsessed with my blender bottle! Amazing with crystal light :)

-that I desire more girl friendships in this small town, but don't really know where to start

-that I took too much time creating this list because the things that immediately came to mind were things I'm NOT okay with...but let's work on positivity!

What are you OK or NOT OK with today??

What I'm Loving: New England Style!

Wow, what a week already! Monday was a fabulous Columbus Day because the hubs and I were still in Massachusetts visiting my family and we definitely made the most of it! Tuesday was spent flying and then making the trek back home, leading to much exhaustion and bedtime at 8:30. Yeah that's what happens when you're up at 4:30am heading to the airport. So today it's back to work and reality...not quite as fun as vacation. But on a brighter note, here's what I'm loving!

I'm loving Dunkin Donuts! Yes I am an addict and this past weekend I enjoyed A LOT of trips to Dunkin!

Combined with my love of pumpkin this was HEAVEN!

I'm loving Macintosh apples! We picked a bunch while apple picking this past weekend and they truly are one of my fall favorites!

Here's my brother picking a Mac!

I'm loving that I got to see my bestie on her birthday weekend!

I'm loving my fall swap package I received today! My partner did an amazing job!

Here is the link where you cna see everyone's fall goodies (mine will be on there later today!) My partner sent my homemade pumkin bread, an amazing smelling candle, a cute basket, fall hand sanitizer, fall kitchen towles, and a cute decorationg that says "Give Thanks"! It was such a blessing!

I'm loving Letterboxing! It something my family has done for a while now and we did some while I was home! It's kind of like geocaching. You follow clues and they lead you to a box that has a stamp and notebook. You stamp the notebook and leave a message for that person (who planted the box) and use their stamp to stamp your book as a souvenier! www.letterboxing.org/ will tell you all about it! Such a fun family activity or even a neat date idea!

Here's my family and bestie treking through the woods looking for a letterbox!

Hubbt found our 1st box!
and finally I'm loving my wonderful family! They mean everything to me! No matter how far apart we live my heart will always be with them! and thank God for facetime!
Apple Picking!

Hay ride!

Letterboxing!

That's my list for this week! What are you loving today?!

It's OK!

It's OK...

-that I didn't get my early morning workout in today. I was compeltely exhausted especially because I worked out yesterday morning and after work!

-that I'm completely obsessed with the pumpkin muffins I made this week!

-that I hate going to bed with a dirty house. Hence last night it was 11:30 before I went to bed. Had to have a clean kitchen and bedroom!!

-that I can't leave our house for a trip, weekend, or even an overnight until it's decently clean. Who likes coming home to a mess?? Not this girl!

-that I keep researching DSLR cameras hoping to find a good one for cheap...anyone have an extra? :) I'm just a beginner so a good starter one is fine!

-that I averged an 8:36 min/mile on my run yesterday! mostly due to the fact that phone updates me along the way and I kept trying to beat my time at every half mile...hey whatever works!

-that I'm obsessed with the Skinniest Pumpkin latte ever! courtesy of my starbucks barista friend: Double tall nonfat cappuncino, 2 pumps of pumkin spice, 1 splenda, and pumpkin spice steamed into the milk! Amazing and totals 120 calories!

-that lately we eat fish for dinner at least 3 times a week. FYI I'm not really a "fish person" but I love the health benefits, so I'm getting used to it!

-that now that my husband is eating healthier, we cook dinner together almost every night! It's so nice!

-That me and my hometown have a date coming up! VERY EXCITED!

That's what I'm OK with this week! How about you?

Weekend Update

What a weekend! It was yet another spent in Houston and it was full of family, fun, and good food! On Friday night, the hubs and I headed down to Houston and spent the night at his aunt and uncle's house with their sweet family. It was a nice overnight with them. We slept in the next morning and took it easy at their house til about 4. It was so nice to just relax and rest, especially because it was rainy outside. That night we all headed over to Andrew's grandmother's house for his parents' going away party. For those of you who didn't know, my father in law took a job in South Korea and my in-laws are relocating there for the next few years. It's going to be such an adventure! After a yummy meal consisting of Gulash (kind of like a stew), salad, and cobbler, we headed back to the in-laws house for a while.

Sorry for the blurry! Gotta love funny family pictures!

Sweet sister in-law and aunt!

Father in law, his sisters, and grandma!

That night my sweet cousin who is now a Houston resident picked me up and her and I spent the night with my grandmother. Meanwhile, Andrew headed over to my cousin's apartment (AKA his best friend and the reason we met) for a boy's weekend. So while the husband was watching football and grilling, I went to church with my cousin, grandmother, and grandmother's crazy friends, followed my an amazing brunch! We laughed and laughed until it hurt and my cousin and I couldn't believe some of the topics discussed at brunch! After brunch and a solid nap, we headed back across town for some shopping and so I could meet back up with Andrew. Overall, it was a nice weekend but I am definitely tired today! Here's more pictures from our fabulous brunch!
